Background

My story begins in the late '80s when my step-father came home with a 486DX computer. You know...the one that only ran MS-DOS and had a monochrome output?

He was able to teach me the basics of how to use it. He also showed me how to find out what commands were available to me and how to find out how to use them.

With that knowledge I found out that I could make texted based menus, draw rudimentary boxes with ASCII, and launch different programs by entering a single number...at 8 years old.

Working with electronics and computers has always been a true calling for me beginning at an early age. I have always been able to learn and understand the concepts behind anything technical extremely quickly and usually on my own. My grandfather, an engineer, was amazed as he watched me take some of his small electrical devices apart and put them back together at the age of four. Growing up, I was the one that friends and family called to fixed their various electronics; car stereos, home theaters, computers, home networks, etc. Later in high school I was able to learn BASIC on my own and wrote a program that took up the whopping 128kb memory of a TI-85 calculator. The program was a slot machine.

After High School I continued to learn computer networking, hardware and operating system repair on my own which got me a job as a Geek Squad agent at Best Buy

From that passion, I progressively studied business and sales management which eventually lead me to start my own business selling industrial grade scientific instrumentation.

My other hobbies include, movies, video games, car racing (autocross, trackdays, etc), beach volleyball and tennis.
